Q3 has seen some record market highs, but take caution. Markets right now are like a scene out of Titanic – even after hitting the iceberg the party kept going until reality sunk in. This episode highlights the early indicators of a slowing economy, and why now’s the time to man the lifeboats!


S&P 500 Growth Index: measures growth stocks using three factors: sales growth, the ratio of earnings change to price, and momentum, within the constituents of the S&P 500 Index. S&P 500 Momentum Index: measures the performance of securities in the S&P 500 universe that exhibit persistence in their relative performance. S&P500 Quality Index: is designed to track high quality stocks in the S&P 500 by quality score, which is calculated based on return on equity, accruals ratio and financial leverage ratio. S&P 500 QVM Multi-Factor Index: measures the performance of 100 stocks within the S&P 500 that are characterized as having the top combination of quality, value, and momentum as determined by a multifactor score. S&P 500 Pure Growth Index: tracks the performance of stocks that exhibit the strongest growth characteristics by using a style-attractiveness-weighting scheme.
