President and Chief Investment Strategist
Matt Schreiber is President and Chief Investment Strategist of WBI, a Voting Member of WBI’s Investment Committee and an owner of the firm.
Mr. Schreiber is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of WBI’s business operations. As Chief Investment Strategist, Mr. Schreiber’s responsibilities include market and economic analysis, portfolio strategy, and product design and development.
Prior to assuming his current duties, Mr. Schreiber served as Vice President of Business Development and advisor to the Investment Committee from 2007 to 2012. As Vice President of Business Development, Mr. Schreiber expanded distribution from one independent broker-dealer partner to banks, wirehouses, and institutional clients. He has led the way in increasing assets under management and building a national sales force since joining the firm in 2005.
Mr. Schreiber is integral in keeping WBI at the forefront of investing across all types of products, including separate accounts, mutual funds, and exchange-traded funds. Mr. Schreiber has a patent pending in the United States for Systems and Methods for Construction of Exchange Traded Products. In 2014, Mr. Schreiber was essential to WBI’s headline-making debut of 10 actively managed exchange-traded funds, followed by a world record opening day billion-dollar asset raise.
Considered an expert in his field, Mr. Schreiber appears frequently on CNBC, Fox Business, and others to provide his perspective on investments, markets, and economics. Mr. Schreiber’s white paper on Capital Power Ratio was published by Financial Advisor Magazine in December 2012 and he has been quoted by U.S. News & World Report, Investment News, and The Wall Street Journal.
Mr. Schreiber earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Education from the University of South Carolina.
